Where litigation is necessary, Georgia’s clients benefit from her experience before the Federal Circuit Court of Australia and Family Court of Australia, as well as various state courts. Georgia’s previous experience in child protection law, criminal law and family violence matters also allows her to understand the needs of clients with cross-jurisdictional concerns.

Georgia is an involved member of the legal and social justice community. Georgia is the current Co-Chair of the LGBTI Subcommittee of Australian Lawyers for Human rights, and a member of the Diversity and Inclusion Committee, Law Society of New South Wales, LGBT Family Law Institute, Diverse Women Lawyers and Family Law Section. Through her committee involvement, Georgia is often asked to speak on the intersecting issues of family law and LGBTIQA+ rights, including for the University of Sydney, Law Society of New South Wales and Bar Association of New South Wales.

When it comes time to lighten the load, Georgia is not shy of entertaining her colleagues. In 2017 she took out the Tasmanian title for the Golden Gavel Competition, representing the state at the National Golden Gavel competition in Sydney. In 2018, she had the privilege of acting as Mistress of Ceremonies for the bi-annual Tasmania Women Lawyers Gala Dinner. Whilst COVID-19 put a stop to her homecoming tour in 2020, she is hopeful she will have the chance to take up similar opportunities in the future.
